Diner Tunes Vol. I

This playlist is titled Diner Tunes Vol. I. It's a little different than other playlists I've done so far. That's because I'm already certain that I'll need multiple volumes. That's not to say that there won't be other volumes of previous playlists, but while creating this playlist I had enough songs for at least three.

This is the playlist of songs you'd hear at a diner. Some might call them oldies. They might say, "but they're goodies." I am one of those people.

Things that might complement the experience: Fifty-five, Heart Attack on a Rack, Burn One and Drag it Through the Garden, also Diner Lingo

1) "Please Mr. Postman" - The Marvelettes - Please Mr. Postman 7" Single - 1961
2) "Catch A Wave" - The Beach Boys - Surfer Girl - 1963
3) "Needle In A Haystack" - The Velvettes - Needle In A Haystack 7" Single - 1964
4) "I Got You (I Feel Good)" - James Brown - I Got You (I Feel Good) - 1965
5) "Dancing In The Street" - Martha Reeves & The Vandellas - Dance Party - 1964
6) "Loco-Motion" - Little Eva - Locomotion - 1962
7) "You Can't Hurry Love" - The Supremes - The Supremes A' Go-Go - 1966
8) "Louie, Louie" - The Kingsmen - Louie, Louie 7" Single - 1955
9) "Heaven Must Have Sent You" - The Elgins - Darling Baby - 1966
10) "Twist and Shout" - Isley Brothers - Twist and Shout 7" Single - 1962
11) "Get Ready" - The Temptations - Gettin' Ready - 1966
12) "My Guy" - Mary Wells - Mary Wells Sings My Guy - 1964

Note: I do not own the rights to these songs. They are for sampling purposes only. Please go buy the music.

Hey, I am checking this blog using the phone and this appears to be kind of odd. Thought you'd wish to know. This is a great write-up nevertheless, did not mess that up.
